I’m Emma Laing, an illustrative designer based in Columbia, South Carolina. My work sits between design and illustration, combining a background in traditional art with more contemporary visual systems. I’m interested in creating work that feels clear, intentional, and visually engaging, while still having a strong sense of personality.

A lot of what drives my work is the idea that design should actually mean something to the people interacting with it. I think about how visuals can shape emotion, create connection, and leave an impression beyond just aesthetics.
