This Figma Module on how to design for accessibility and inclusion in design was extremely helpful and important as I start working with user design. As I have never worked with UX design in the past most of these guidelines and practices offered in this resource were unknown to me as I haven't taken accessibility and inclusivity into account very much when I have been designing in the past. After reading this I think these guidelines of how to make your work more accessible and inclusive are extremely valuable as UX design differs from design I have done in the past in that it has to be able to not only reach a large audience but it has be set up in a way that makes it easy to use for the majority of people which means taking into account how someone with disabilities such as visual, auditory, and motor impairments would interact with your designs. "Every design decision has the potential to include or exclude customers. Inclusive design emphasizes the contribution that understanding customer diversity makes to inform these decisions, and thus to include as many people as possible. User diversity covers variation in capabilities, needs, and aspirations." This portion of the reading stuck out to me as it was interesting to think of how each and every one of your designs can include or exclude members of your audience and as designers it is important that we consider how we can best make our designs inclusive of all people. The text also lists some resources for how you can make your designs more inclusive and accessible such as using the Figma plug-in Able that ensures your work is accessible. In the future, I will continue to focus on this aspect in my work, ensuring that I develop accessible designs through a proactive approach. This reading is a really good resource as I edit and refine my Airline rebranding mobile app screens and create my widgets I need to take into consideration that the core information, such as boarding passes and such are very legible and easy to read because they are so important and need to be understood at a quick glance.
